MY CHOREOGRAPHY.

My choreographic practice is rooted in Africanist Aesthetics and shaped by the embodied histories of Black performance traditions. Through improvisation and structured movement, I engage in kinesthetic empathy—drawing from the spirit of Black performers whose presence lingers in archives, footage, and oral memory. I develop movement vocabularies that center groove, emotional resonance, and polycentrism. These works are often site-specific, interdisciplinary, and co-created with performers, honoring their lived experiences. Whether staged or filmed, each piece becomes a living archive, a gesture of (re)membering and creative restoration.
