the weight of salt is a three-part journey of understanding the changing climate in the Great Salt Lake, the power of resilience, and the hope for renewal. For years the absence of water has removed boats and life from the area’s docks. Yet the island’s energy of renewal emerges each season, decorating the land with golden meadows. As the climate of the lake changes, humans continue to gather, reflect and connect, in hopes of restoring what was. The work of protecting and preserving requires continued commitment, feminine wisdom, and embodied care.
